Old 19th Street Pink Poodle Promenade Celebration

The 19th Street Merchants Association held a unique promotion, a Pink Poodle Promenade, down the 19th Street in the Historic Houston Heights between Yale and North Shepherd on June 28, 2002.

There were live bands, street performers and special discounts for the festival, similar to the merchants' annual holiday celebration in early December.

Special this year was the John's Flowers & Antiques Anniversary Open House.

John Moraida and John's Flowers & Antiques celebrated their 15 years in the floral business with an open house.

Included in the 300 friends and clients were AFH members Kathryn Gartz and Kathleen Quarles of Burleson Florist, Raynell Killion of Killion's Milam Florist, Fisher Florist, and James Jannise of Southern Floral Company
