AUSTRALIA

 
Australian Flower Export Council
The Australian Flower Export Council Inc. (AFEC) has a long term committment to the promotion of Australian fresh and dreid flowers and foliages in world flower markets.  AFEC was wormed in 1990 and strives to build international share and enhance the profitable export of floricultural products and services from Australia.

Floral Art Society of Victoria
The Floral Art Society of Victoria (FASV) is a not-for-profit organization active in the State of Victoria (Australia) since 1978. The Society has more than 200 individual members and affiliated Floral Art Clubs who share in the aim to promote floral art and flower arranging as an art form.

Flowers Victoria
Flowers Victoria was established as a division of the Victorian Farmers Federation in 1975. Flowers Victoria is responsible for representing the flower growers of Victoria in all matters relating to the industry including, but not restricted to, industry development, marketing and promotion, quality, distribution, use of chemicals and the environment. Given Victoria's pre-ement position within the flower industry in Australia, FV is a critical contributor to the national industry representative body, the Flower Industry Association - Australia Inc.


Flower Association of Queensland Incorporated (FAQI)
Flower Association of Queensland Incorporated (FAQI) was formed in 1988 and commenced its role as peak industry organisation for the Queensland cut flower industry in 1998. Our membership includes cut flower growers, grower groups and allied traders  ( i.e. businesses associated with the cut flower industry including input supply companies, florists, wholesalers, and exporters).

West Australian Floral Art Society
The West Australian Floral Art Society Inc meets to cultivate an appreciation of flowers and floral design and further develop the skills of creative floral design among its members.


CANADA

Canadian Academy of Floral Art
The Canadian Academy of Floral Art was formed to recognize and honour the artistic talents of Canadian Floral Designers as an art form. Membership is only available by successfully completing a comprehensive two-phase examination process. All members are therefore permitted and encouraged to add the initials CAFA following their name. The Canadian Academy of Floral Art is proud to recognize and promote the artistic talents of Canadian Floral Designers to the public and to the floral industry.

Flowers Canada
Founded in 1897, Flowers Canada is the Voice of the Canadian Floriculture Industry.  Flowers Canada is a not-for-profit association whose members represent retailers, distributors, growers, educators and associates.

Niagara International Association of Florists
The Niagara International Association of Florists maintains members both in Canada and the United States who meet to further their education in the floral industry.

Asocolflores
Asocolflores, The Columbian Association of Flower Exporters, was  established in 1973 as a non-profit grower/exporter association to promote the flower industry in the world markets, and its integral development in aspects such as environment, research, transport and general welfare for the workers.  Asocolflores serves as delegate for the industry in domestic and international organizations and represents growers that handle more than 80% of the total flower exports from Colombia.

COSTA RICA

Costa Rican Association of Flower Growers - ACOFLOR
Founded in 1985 to stimulate the growth of national floriculture, the Costa Rican Association of Flower Growers, ACOFLOR, represents the majority of flower producers in Costa Rica. Through the Association, and using modern techniques, the flower growers work in harmony with nature, with minimal impact on the environment. ACOFLOR both sponsors and participates in international and national activities to promote floriculture. The Assocation also provides precise information to its members and quick feedback to interested clients.

Flower Council of Holland
The Flower Council of Holland promotes the sale of floriculture products from the Netherlands on behalf of growers and traders.  Activites include market research, maintaining trade contacts, and developing and executing marketing plans.  It is active in 26 countries.

International Flower Bulb Centre
The foundation known as the International Flower Bulb Centre (IFBC) provides Dutch flower bulb growers and traders with international promotion for their flower bulbs and bulb flowers.

International Organisation of Horticultural Producers
The AIPH is a coordinating body representing horticultural producers' organisations all over the world. It was set up in Switzerland in 1948 to stimulate international marketing of flowers, plants and landscaping services. An increasing number of growers organisations have joined AIPH with 25 countries represented in 2000.

New Zealand Professional Florists

Floral Art Society of New Zealand
The Floral Art Society of New Zealand is a national organization encompassing 3800 members in 120 clubs designed to encourage members to enjoy and appreciate the art of designing through class tutorials and workshops and involvement in floral art competitions and floral theatre.


SCOTLAND

Scottish Association of Flower Arrangement Societies
Scotland is the third Area of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS). There are currently 98 affiliated Clubs in SAFAS.


SOUTH AFRICA

International Protea Association
The International Protea Association was the brainchild of the late Peter Mathews of Australia and resulted from the realisation that there were numerous people around the world interested in Protea cultivation. Although proteas are known to originate from South Africa, they are now widely cultivated throughout the world wherever climatic and soil conditions allow. The International Protea Association (IPA) now embraces both the Australian and African genera.

Flowers & Plants Association
The Flowers & Plants Association, formed in 1984, is the UK's promotional organization for all commercially grown cut flowers and indoor plants.  It is an unbiased, non-commercial source of expert advice representing the whole floriculture industry.

Future Concepts
Future Concepts is a Contemporary Floral Design Group affiliated to the North Midlands Area of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies. This covers most of Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire, the whole of Nottinghamshire and eastern Staffordshire.


National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS)
Flower arranging clubs and societies banded together as the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies in 1959.  The Association has since been a unifying and guiding mainstay to thousands of men, women and juniors whose love of flowers has opened up a whole new world of creativity.  In 1984 NAFAS was granted charitable status in recognition of its education activities. American Floral Industry Association (AFIA)
The American Floral Industry Association (AFIA), founded in 1994, represents all segments of the permanent botanical, holiday and decorative accessories industry.

American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD)
The American Institute of Floral Designers is the floral industry's leading non-profit organization committed to establishing and maintaining higher standards in professional floral design. With over 1,200 members worldwide, AIFD and its members are in the forefront of the industry in presenting educational and design programs.


Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers
The Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers was formed in 1988 to unite and inform growers in the production and marketing of field and greenhouse cut flowers.

California Association of Flower Growers and Shippers (NORCAL)
The California Association of Flower Growers and Shippers (NORCAL) is a non-profit trade association established to represent the professional needs and interests of the floral industry in California. We offer a variety of services to strengthen the floral and agricultural industries by increasing the flow of products from California to destinations throughout the world.

California Cut Flower Commission (CCFC)
The California Cut Flower Commission is a non-profit public corporation formed to promote California flowers.  The California Cut Flower Commission’s mission is to provide a unified effort by growers to enhance the performance of the California cut flower and greens industry.


California Protea Association
The California Protea Association (CPA) is a non-profit corporation that works to improve and develop cultivars and promotes the marketing of Protea. It was formed to assist its members to learn more about how to successfully make Protea flowers a more important part of California floriculture. The California Protea Association is not a retailer or shipper of Protea, but works to assist those who do cultivate, sell and purchase California Protea flowers.

Chain of Life Network
The Chain of Life Network® is a comprehensive assembly of information that can be used by growers, wholesalers, florists, supermarkets, brokers, breeders, importers, educators, bouquet manufacturers, associations, students, and floral supply companies to improve the performance of cut flowers and greens, cuttings, plugs, and foliage, flowering and bedding plants. Floral marketing and consumer information is also included.


Association of Floral Importers of Florida
The Association of Floral Importers of America (AFIF) has respesented the interests of the South Florist fresh-cut flower importers since 1982.  AFIF members account for approximately 80% of the sales volume of Miami importers.


Hawaii Orchid Growers

International Cut Flower Growers Association (ICFG)
The International Cut Flower Growers Association (ICFG) is a nonprofit trade association of commercial cut flower growers and allied trades from around the world.


International Floral Distributors
International Floral Distributors, Inc. (IFD) is a marketing company owned by 25 like-minded floral wholesale distributors focused on gaining business advantages for each member. IFD is a member directed, member driven organization. IFD originated as an informal group working together to import cut flowers. The group was expanded and hired an Executive Director in 1997. In 1998 IFD hosted its first perishable trade fair. In 1999 IFD published its first annual hardgoods catalog. The company was incorporated in 2000 and continues to grow in its scope of marketing and networking activities.

Kee Kitayama Research Foundation
The Kee Kitayama Research Foundation (KKRF), founded in 1992 to honor longtime industry leader Kee Kitayama, is the source for information related to floriculture research.


Los Angeles Flower District
The Los Angeles Flower District is the Los Angeles area's premiere resource for flower growers, shippers, suppliers, floral wholesalers, distributors, floral designers and retail florists in the floriculture and horticulture industries.

Flower Market Association of NYC
The Flower Market Association of NYC, Inc. (FMA) was formed in 1999 to speak for the needs of stores within the 28th Street Flower Market. Flower Market Association members include: cut flower wholesalers, potted plant wholesalers, pot and basket wholesalers, artificial plant wholesalers, floral supply wholesalers, retail florists, floral designers, event and party planners and delivery companies.


World Flower Council (WFC)
The World Flower Council (WFC) is an established organization dedicated to furthering the cause of world peace through the beauty of flowers and the sharing of knowledge among those who have chosen the floral industry as their profession.
