RECYCLING FLOWERS
The
Flower Shuttle in Raleigh, NC is a volunteer program sponsored by the
Raleigh Moravian Church as an outreach service project. The
Flower Shuttle picks up flowers following community events,
galas,
weddings and funerals that would normally be thrown away and
rearranges them into smaller vases for delivery to brighten the
lives of people living with sickness, terminal illness, poverty and
disability.
The following groups have benefited from their creativity and generosity of spirit: Hospice, Alliance of AIDS Services-Carolina, Wake Med, Raleigh Dialysis, Meals On Wheels, Shepard's Table Soup Kitchen and Urban Ministries.
