SAF has set up a special section on their web site to share news of relief efforts with the entire floral industry. They have also set up a special e-mail address, katrina.relief@safnow.org, whereby industry members can let them know if they are willing to help now or in future efforts. Through this they have been able to identify florists in other states who would like to offer job opportunities to floral employees displaced by the hurricane. SAF is compiling a list of florists who would be willing to provide their design and installation services for a possible memorial event to be held sometime in the future. The Association of Floral Importers of Florida (AFIF)and Wholesale Florist & Wholesale Supplier Association (WF&FSA) will be compiling a list of growers, suppliers, shippers and wholesalers to provide product and distribution services.
