Alex Torres TMF

Alex Torres TMF will be chairing the Allied Florists of Houston Cup on October 10, 2006.
Alex is a past winner of the Houston Cup, the Texas Cup, and the Sylvia Cup. 
He recently attended an AIFD Accreditation Evaluation Session and will receive his AIFD accreditation next Summer.
 He writes an article for The Allied Florist Magazine and the AFH web site called Focus on Design

"FTD Good Neighbor Day" - September 6 2006

Joel Paul Shirley TMF and the Satff of Shirley Floral Company of San Angelo, Texas
distributed 20,000 roses celebrating this year's Good Neighbor Day.



Chris Collum TMF of Lubbock, Texas presented his "Twas The Night Before Christmas" program
(with Ken Senter AIFD) at  Star Decorators Wholesale in Dallas on September 24, 2006.
He will also present the program at Star's Atlanta location (with Chad Duggan AIFD) on October 1st
and (with Mary Linda Horn AIFD AAF OCF PFCI) in Phoenix on October 8th.

TSFA's EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM EXPANDS
TOMBALL COLLEGE OFFERS TMF CLASSES



Education Committee Member Lana Scarborough TMFA has launched TMF classes at Tomball College.
Tomball College is the first educational facility to offer TSFA's entire TCF program from start to finish.

Care and Handling of Cut Flowers and Foliage (8 hours)
Basic Design Techniques (20 hours)
Concepts of the Care and Handling of Foliage and Flowering Plants (8 hours)
Floral Wedding Design Techniques (20 hours)
Floral Funeral Design Techniques (20 hours)

Daily Business Procedures (12 hours)
Employee Relations (3 hours)
Delivery (3 hours)
Customer Relations (3 hours)
Advertising and Promotion (4 hours)
Merchandising (4 hours)

Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to take TSFA's TMF examination.
